Install LaunchMat

Install

1. Download the disk image.
2. Open it and drag LaunchMat into Applications.
3. Open LaunchMat. To toggle it from the Dock, drag it into the Dock.

Requirements

macOS 14.0 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. The release is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Compare the SHA-256 of the file you downloaded with this one:

LaunchMat was called LaunchGrid up to version 0.1.0. On first launch it copies your LaunchGrid layout and settings over.

Permissions

• Accessibility: only if you turn on the trackpad pinch, which needs to read gestures system-wide.
• Automation (Finder): only when you uninstall an app owned by the system administrator; Finder then asks for your password.
• The hotkey, hot corners, search and everything else need no permission.

Needs Xcode 15.3 or later.
